India will be taking on Australia in the final Test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, which starts from Thursday (March 9).
India's merry ride was put into brake in Indore in the last match as the visitors secured a resounding victory to half the deficit to 2-1 in the series. With the final Test match set to be played, it is all to play for between the two teams as India look to seal their spot for the upcoming WTC final in June.
India captain Rohit Sharma will be tempted to make some changes ahead of the 4th Test. The hosts may bring in Ishan Kishan in place for KS Bharat, while Mohammed Shami can also make a return to the squad. It will be high time for some of the Indian batters to contribute as Indore was a stern alarm for them.
India may retain their three spinners in the squad but Axar Patel has bowled only a handful of overs so far in this series. Hence Patel's role in Ahmedabad is another key point, as there will be temptation to play someone like Suryakumar Yadav, who is a specialist batter.
Australia captain Pat Cummins will remain in Australia to stay with his mother who is suffering from serious illness and hence set to miss the final Test as well. Steve Smith is going to lead the troops again in the final hurdle as they aim to restore parity in Ahmedabad. The Aussies are in no need to change their team and will probably go with the same team from the last Test.

India predicted XI vs Australia: Rohit Sharma (C), Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Ishan Kishan, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Axar Patel, Mohammed Shami, Umesh Yadav
Australia predicted XI vs India: Usman Khawaja, Travis Head, Marnus Labuschagne, Steve Smith (C), Peter Handscomb, Alex Carey, Cameron Green, Mitchell Starcr, Todd Murphy, Nathan Lyon, Matt Kuhnemann
IND vs AUS 4th Test will be a crucial encounter for the hosts as a win will ensure their qualification in the WTC Final in June, where they will lock horns again with Australia. Ahmedabad is expected to be another turner and this time India will be keen to avoid their previous match mistakes. We believe India will prevail at the Narendra Modi Stadium and win the series 3-1.
