IND vs AUS 3rd Test : Indian pacer Akash Deep shared a light-hearted moment with Travis Head on Day 5 of the third Test between India and Australia in Brisbane on Wednesday. Although Akash Deep had an off time with the ball, he redeemed himself with an impressive batting display.
Surprising the Australians, he smashed 31 runs off 44 deliveries, playing a crucial role in helping India avoid the follow-on.

The unexpected contribution from the bowler left the Australian camp amused, prompting Akash Deep to humorously apologize to Head for his unexpected heroics with the bat.
Attempting a slog sweep, Akash Deep completely missed the ball, which ended up lodged inside his pads. In a hurry, he pulled it out and tossed it onto the ground. Unintentionally, Akash Deep overlooked that Travis Head had expected him to hand the ball over, leaving the latter slightly displeased.
Fortunately, the moment didn't escalate as Akash Deep quickly apologized, allowing the match to continue without further incident.
The former Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) man was removed by Head as the visitors finished on 260 runs on Day 5. But soon after that, the rain started pouring in expectedly and Lunch was called.
The match in all likelihood looks like it will gonna end in a draw then India can qualify for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy final given that South Africa win one of their Test matches against Pakistan and the Rohit Sharma-led side end up as 3-1 winners.
Star pacer Jasprit Bumrah (10 not out off 38 balls) and Akash played a crucial role in helping the team avoid the follow-on on Day 4, stitching together a vital 47-run partnership for the final wicket in 78 deliveries. Earlier on Day 3, KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja laid a solid platform for India with well-crafted half-centuries, contributing 67 runs for the sixth wicket. Jadeja then partnered with Nitish Reddy for another important stand before the lower order stepped up. The stubborn resistance from Bumrah and Akash Deep in the final session made the Australian bowlers work hard, ensuring India stayed in contention as the daylight faded.
