IND vs AUS Final: Harbhajan Singh reveals why India will beat Australia in World Cup 2023 final

IND vs AUS Final: Ahead of the India vs Australia final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, Harbhajan Singh has reckoned that India will be favourites as they have played more as a unit.

The former off-spinner said India look set to win the World Cup 2023 trophy because Australia have not done well as a team and relied on individual brilliance to reach the final.

Harbhajan added that India have been terrific as a team as their batters and bowlers both have been in form. He further stated that India are also the superior team because of their 'happy' dressing room atmosphere.

“Australians have come through individual brilliance, and that's how they have won games. They have not played well as a team. You know, normally Australians play as a unit like India is playing. So that is where India has the advantage, because they are playing as a unit,” Harbhajan Singh told India Today.

“Individual brilliance can probably win you a game or two. But when you want to win a cup, you have to perform like Team India. All the batters are in form. All the bowlers are in form. And more than that, they look happy. A happy unit is a winning unit. So, I believe that India is a superior team going into the final,” Harbhajan added.

India and Australia clashed against each in their opening match of the World Cup 2023. In the match, India defeated Australia by six wickets. India are looking to avenge their 2003 World Cup final defeat against Australia to clinch their third title. The Rohit Sharma-led team hasn't lost a single match in the World Cup 2023.
