IND vs AUS: Harbhajan Singh launches attack on Indore Pitch after India's loss

Nathan Lyon created havoc as the hosts crumbled to a loss in Indore, thus allowing Australia to come right back in the mix with the final Test to go.

India vs Australia

India suffered a terrible loss at the hands of Australia in the 3rd Test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy.

Nathan Lyon created havoc as the hosts crumbled to a loss in Indore, thus allowing Australia to come right back in the mix with the final Test to go. After India's loss, the Indore pitch has come under the wrath of many people.

The Indore deck has been deemed 'poor' by ICC and received three demerit points after match referee Chris Broad's report. And now former India player Harbhajan Singh has raised his voice against the pitch, making a scathing attack on Star Sports.

"As a batter, it is very difficult to survive even if you have a good defense. You might be (Sachin) Tendulkar, (Jacques) Kallis, Brian Lara or Virat Kohli, even an unknown bowler will dismiss you on this pitch if you play six balls continuously," the former Indian spinner said on Star Sports.

"Your batters were not working hard but laboring on this pitch because you didn't know at all where the ball was going. I want your bowlers also to do some hard work because are they capable of winning you the match while defending 250 runs on the fourth or fifth day when there is slight help from the pitch?" he added.

The off-spinner fears the Indian pitches are making things too difficult for batters and believes this is not the proper reflection of skills.

"Test wickets are being given to anyone. Your skill should give you the wickets and your skill should score runs," Harbhajan concluded.
