Harshit Rana picked up his maiden Test wicket in the first Test on Friday (November 22).
The India pacer cleaned up Travis Head with a beautiful delivery and rattled the stumps. The debutant was on target with a fantastic delivery and managed to uproot the stumps.

Rana was jubilant after getting his first wicket as Australia lost their 4th wicket. Jasprit Bumrah picked up three wickets and rattled Australia early and then Harshit's maiden wicket has further compounded their problems.
The 22-year-old has made his debut for India in the first Test in Perth. Harshit, with his fiery pace, looked excellent in India's simulation match prior to the Test, which fast-tracked his place into the team at the expense of Akash Deep.
India endured a dismal start to the first Test against Australia, bowled out for 150 on a green, bouncy surface in under 50 overs. Debutant Nitish Reddy's gritty 41 and Rishabh Pant's 37 offered brief resistance, but Australia's disciplined pace attack, led by Josh Hazlewood (4/29) and Mitchell Starc (2/14), exploited the conditions expertly.
Opting to bat first, skipper Jasprit Bumrah's decision backfired as India's top-order crumbled. Yashasvi Jaiswal (0) and Devdutt Padikkal (0) fell cheaply to Hazlewood and Starc, undone by extra bounce and seam movement. Virat Kohli (5) edged a sharp Hazlewood bouncer to slip, continuing his lean patch. KL Rahul (26) battled hard but was controversially given out caught behind before lunch.
