The stage is set for the India vs Australia grand finale in the ICC World Cup 2023. As luck would have it, the two best teams in the competition so far, are going to clash in front of over a lakh audience who are set to witness history.
The good thing is that most of us are only talking about India's win rather than thinking about what the Aussies can do because of their connection with the World Cup. Why? Of course, the Indian team has superior form and fitness.

The game sense of Rohit Sharma is also too good. Right from striking the ball, rotating the strike to striking it rich in the slog overs -- the Indian batting has a success story of stalwarts like Virat Kohli and captain Sharma.
However, the biggest story of this Indian team has been the form of the bowlers. The bowling strength of this team is so good that an out-of-form Mohd Siraj also threatens to run through any opposition. The bowling strength of this team is so good that an ace like Ravi Ashwin hasn't got a chance to play beyond the opening game against Australia.
As it is against Australia, the discussion of whether to play Ashwin or not is still on, but there is a section within the team management that isn't keen to change the winning combination and not willing to forget what Siraj can do in a final match. After all, who can forget Siraj's spell in the Asia Cup final against Sri Lanka that gave India all the impetus before the World Cup.
Having said that India have been the best team in the competition and the logical conclusion is to see the hosts winning the World Cup, there are more cricketing reasons as to why Rohit and his men should enjoy the last laugh. Playing the final in a big ground like the Narendra Modi Stadium isn't a new thing for Australia.
But playing the match on a dry and relatively slower track, the Aussies are definitely going to struggle to hit four and sixes at will. To keep the scorecard ticking, the only way is to run ones and twos, which Kohli has mastered the art for years. Therefore, India would drive home some advantage before a single delivery is bowled in this World Cup. Thank God, this match isn't played in Mumbai!
