IND vs AUS: Katrina Kaif praises neighbours Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma, compares batter with Salman Khan

IND vs AUS: Katrina Kaif praised Virat Kohli moments ahead of the India vs Australia World Cup 2023 final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday. Katrina was with Salman Khan on the Star Sports pre-match show to promote their movie 'Tiger 3'.

The Bollywood diva said she has seen Virat Kohli since his early years with the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL), adding that the transformation shown by the star batter has been exceptional.

Katrina Kaif, who is also Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma's neighbour in Mumbai, talked about the love between the star couple. She also talked about Anushka Sharma's support for her husband, Virat Kohli. The 40-year-old also compared his Tiger 3 co-star Salman Khan and Virat Kohli through their passion for fitness.

"They are such a wonderful. when Virat is playing you can see she is supporting with whole her heart, the happiness on her face. He is dedicated, disciplined, look at the fitness he has brought in. I remember watching him play for RCB at the beginning of his career. Just look at the journey. Salman and Virat are great fitness inspirations," Katrina Kaif said on Star Sports.

Salman Khan also wished India luck and backed them to lift their third World Cup trophy. He doffed his hat to head coach Rahul Dravid for serving Indian cricket even after retiring over a decade ago.

"They deserve it. I want this trophy to stay in India. The way the Indian team is playing, there is hardly any chance for them to lose. Also, Rahul Dravid looks the same till date. There is no change in him. People get complacent after retiring but his enthusiasm hasn't reduced," Salman Khan said.

Australia won the toss and opted to bowl first in front of a packed Narendra Modi Stadium. Both the teams have made no changes to their playing eleven.
