IND vs AUS : Mohammed Siraj Fails To Complete Over, India Receive Big Injury Scare During 3rd Test

Mohammed Siraj's injury: India's star pacer, Mohammed Siraj was forced to leave the field on Day 2 of the 3rd Test of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia at the Gabba on Sunday.

Siraj was seen clutching his hamstring and even his knee and as a result, he had to leave the field without even completing his over.

While bowling his seventh over, he stopped after delivering the second ball and signaled for the physios to come from the dressing room. He walked off the field clutching his left hamstring, leaving Akash Deep to finish the over. He came back after a period of four overs but he's yet to bowl again after the injury scare.

The Rohit Sharma-led side will be hoping that Siraj's injury isn't serious and that he can return to bowl at his full potential. In addition to the four fast bowlers, Ravindra Jadeja is also available in the playing XI, offering an option if required.

Earlier in the day, a lighthearted yet intense confrontation took place between Siraj and Labuschagne following the India pacer's playful bail-switch, drawing the attention of both fans and commentators.

Following the rain-induced washout on Day 1 of the third Test, Day 2 kicked off with high-intensity action. Jasprit Bumrah made an immediate impact, dismissing the Australian openers in rapid succession. Soon after, Marnus Labuschagne, going for a drive on a full-length delivery from Nitish Kumar Reddy, edged the ball to the slips. Virat Kohli responded with a brilliant catch, leaving the already energized Gabba crowd in stunned silence.

The crowd at the Gabba appeared to relish the ongoing contest between Siraj and Labuschagne, which brought an added sense of drama to the match. By the time lunch arrived on Day 2, Australia found themselves in a tough spot at 104/3 after 43 overs, with India clearly in control and the momentum on their side.
