Rohit Sharma is reportedy set to jet out with the first batch of the Indian squad for the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy after earlier reports suggested the skipper is likely to miss the first Test in Perth.
While his availability for the Perth Test is still unclear, the skipper is likely to travel with the first batch of the Indian squad on Sunday (November 10) with the second batch scheduled to travel Down Under a day later on Monday (November 11).

Rohit had confirmed that he may miss the series-opening Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, in Perth, due to personal reasons. But, recent report by Sports Tak suggests the captain will be travelling with the squad, but are not sure if he will be available for the Perth Test.
Earlier reports stated that Rohit will not play the first Test in Australia as he and Ritika Sajdeh are expecting their second child. The skipper also hinted the same after the third and final Test against New Zealand.
"I am not sure of my availability for the first Test in Perth, Fingers Crossed," Rohit had said post the Mumbai Test against New Zealand last week. Abhimanyu Easwaran has been included in the squad should Rohit miss the series opener.
The Indian team could also use KL Rahul as the opener alongside Yashasvi Jaiswal in case Rohit misses the first Test. Dhruv Jurel could be used as a pure batter in the middle order after his splendid showing for the A team in MCG.
Team India will have a simulation practice rather than a three-day match against India A, which will finish its second four-day game against Australia A on November 10 before travelling to Perth.
The Border-Gavaskar Trophy will be crucial for both India and Australia in their quest to qualify for the World Test Championship (WTC) Final 2025, which will be played at the Home of Cricket - Lord's in London next year.
India's 0-3 home series loss against New Zealand has made the task even more harder as a big series loss against Australia will rule them out of making a third successive WTC final. India face Australia in a five-match series, starting with first Test in Perth from November 22.
