The third Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia at Brisbane's iconic Gabba Stadium began with frustrating interruptions due to rain. Only 13.2 overs were bowled on Day 1.
Australia reached 28/0 before persistent showers halted play. Despite the lack of cricketing action, the day grabbed headlines for an off-field moment featuring Sara Tendulkar, the daughter of Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar.

Sara Tendulkar made a surprise appearance at the Gabba to support Team India and quickly became a sensation online. Dressed elegantly in a blue fit-and-flare dress, Sara shared her experience on Instagram with a caption, "Washed out and feeling blue (in the best way possible)."
Among her photos, fans were intrigued by her picture with Australia's former opener David Warner, sparking discussions on social media. This sighting dispelled ongoing rumors about Sara's alleged connection with Indian cricketer Shubman Gill.
Mainly as fans pointed out that she was instead seen interacting with Warner. Alongside the Australian star, Sara posed with several Bollywood celebrities present at the match, including Sagarika Ghatge, Prachi Desai, Kabir Khan, Mini Mathur, and Saiyyami Kher.
The Gabba turned into a star-studded venue with Bollywood personalities and former Indian cricketers like Zaheer Khan and Harbhajan Singh, who were also spotted in the stands. Sara's presence, combined with the celebrity entourage, became a major talking point online, overshadowing the weather-marred match.
On the field, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma opted to bowl first, looking to capitalize on the overcast conditions. However, Australian openers Usman Khawaja and Nathan McSweeney showed resilience, surviving against Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj's testing spells. Khawaja remained unbeaten on 19 off 47 balls.
Whereas, McSweeney contributed 4 off 33 deliveries before rain halted proceedings. India introduced Ravindra Jadeja and Akash Deep to replace Ravichandran Ashwin and Harshit Rana, hoping to strengthen their squad for this crucial encounter. Meanwhile, Australian skipper Pat Cummins brought in Josh Hazlewood for Scott Boland.
