Travis Head's exceptional form against India reached new heights as the Australian southpaw smashed a commanding century on Day 2 of the third Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy at the Gabba.
Head's 152, crafted in 160 deliveries, propelled Australia to 327 runs before going out, forming a record-breaking 241-run partnership with Steve Smith (101), who was caught out before Head. This century marks Head's second consecutive Test hundred in the series.

This was his third in the last four Tests against India. His latest knock included 13 boundaries and came at a critical juncture after early wickets from Jasprit Bumrah and Nitish Kumar Reddy had reduced Australia to 73/3.
Head reached his milestone in the 69th over by clipping a full toss from Bumrah through mid-on, celebrating in his signature style with his helmet perched on his bat handle. Remarkably, this century comes after a streak of three consecutive golden ducks at the Gabba, highlighting the left-hander's resilience and determination.
Adding to his achievements, Head became the first player to record both a King Pair and a century at the same venue in a calendar year. Earlier this year, he suffered consecutive golden ducks against the West Indies at the Gabba, a venue where he also boasts prior scores of 152, 92, and 84.
This knock further cements Head's reputation as a nemesis for Indian bowlers. In his last seven Test innings against India, he has scored three centuries, including his match-winning 163 in the World Test Championship final.
His ongoing love affair with Indian bowling has been pivotal in Australia's success across formats, including his crucial role in the ODI World Cup final.
With this century, Head surpassed 1000 Test runs against India, underlining his consistency. Meanwhile, Steve Smith's patient innings has been a perfect foil for Head's aggression, helping the Aussies take control in challenging conditions.
