IND vs AUS World Cup Final: IND vs AUS World Cup Final: Gautam Gambhir has predicted India's playing 11 for the World Cup 2023 final against Australia at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday.

The 2011 World Cup-winning opener said that Rohit Sharma's India would look to play with the same playing eleven, adding that there was no point tinkering with the combination which has been unbeatable.

With that Gautam Gambhir also quashed the chances of off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin's inclusion in India playing eleven of the World Cup 2023 final against five-time champions Australia.

“I don't think so (on Ashwin playing the final). I don't see a place for him and why would you even tinker with what is working for you. What better performance can you expect from your five bowlers,” said Gambhir while speaking to Sportskeeda.

“After Hardik's injury, we have spoken that with just five specialist bowlers, teams will look to target one or two of them. However, that hasn't happened because of the quality of the five bowlers. We have spoken a lot about batters and I feel it is time to praise the bowlers for delivering under pressure,” Gambhir added.

The Indian bowling unit consisting of Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja has done tremendously well throughout the World Cup 2023. Indian bowlers have picked a total of 95 wickets in the ODI World Cup 2023, with Bumrah, Shami, Siraj , Kuldeep and Ravindra registering 85 of those dismissals.
