IND vs BAN 1st Test: Will Virat Kohli's prized wicket prove costly in Chepauk Test vs Bangladesh?
Former Indian captain Virat Kohli had a brain-fade moment during the 20th over of the second innings in the Chepauk Test against Bangladesh. The senior came forward to nudge Mehidy Hasan Miraz's delivery through the on-side but that wasn't meant to be the case as he was adjudged lbw by on-field umpire Richard Kettleborough.
A TV replay on the large screen showed that Kohli got a slight inside edge before the ball went onto his front pad. While it was clearly a mistake from the umpire's decision, it was kind of surprising to see Kohli failing to take the review. Kohli departed after making 17 runs in the second innings.

His dismissal is a big blow for the hosts to begin with. His failure to use the DRS might come back to haunt the team, albeit India are in a commanding position in the ongoing Test. As things stand, they have a huge chunk of lead already with 308 runs.
With three more days left in hand, it is not that easy to predict the result beforehand. In Test cricket, anything is possible and Bangladesh's recent 2-0 historic Test win against Pakistan paints an optimistic picture. The Tigers have the spinners at their disposal to capitalize on the red soil pitches since the red ball tends to turn well, especially from Day 3 onwards.
Chepauk is traditionally known for favouring spinners as the match progresses, and by tomorrow, the likes of Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Shakib Al Hasan will be able to extract significant turn from the red soil.
Since, India are in firm control of the game at the moment, with Shubman Gill (33) and Rishabh Pant (12) at the crease, the hosts should be able to sail through the challenge to give the visitors a run for their money in the game.
