IND vs BAN 2024: Three Indian bowlers who could give Bangladesh batters a run for their money in T20I series

IND vs BAN: The Test series between India and Bangladesh has been done and dusted with the hosts inflicting a 2-0 whitewash on the visitors. Now, the cricketing action shifts to the three-match T20I series, with the opener set to kick off on October 6, Sunday at New Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium in Gwalior.

The second T20I will begin on October 9, Wednesday in Delhi, whereas the third and final T20I will be held on October 12, Saturday in Hyderabad. As both teams gear up for this high-stakes series, all eyes will be on the Indian bowling unit, which has a mix of experience and young talent.

IND vs BAN Three Indian bowlers to watch out for

Bowling in T20Is is quite a challenge, but India has some exciting bowling weapons who can turn the tide of the game. Let’s take a closer look at three Indian bowlers who could come up trumps in the T20I series.

1. Arshdeep Singh

The left-arm bowling sensation has become a crucial part of India’s T20I bowling attack, particularly after his consistent performances in major tournaments. Arshdeep has earned the trust of the Indian team management, courtesy of his rise in the shortest format as he has accounted for 83 dismissals, including two impressive four-wicket hauls. Notably, he was India’s standout bowler during the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, where he finished as the tournament’s highest wicket-taker with 17 wickets.

2. Washington Sundar

Washington Sundar is expected to play a key role in India’s bowling plans in the games to come, given that veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja recently retired from T20Is. With Axar Patel rested for the series, Sundar has emerged as a reliable option for India in recent times, contributing both with the ball and the bat. In his 49 T20Is, he has taken 44 wickets at an impressive economy rate of 6.92.

3. Harshit Rana

Harshit Rana could be a surprise package for India in the upcoming T20I series. Although Harshit has yet to make his T20I debut, he has recently been travelling with the Indian team on their tours of Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka. It is highly likely that he looks poised to sneak into the playing XI. The paceman has been in terrific form in domestic cricket, with standout performances in the Duleep Trophy, earning him a call-up. The upcoming T20I series against Bangladesh could be his chance to shine on the international stage.
