After a frustrating opening two days, fans and players will hope there is better weather in-store on day 3 of the second Test between India and Bangladesh at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur on Sunday (September 29).
While there was at least some play possible on the opening day, the second day's play was completely washed out after persistent rains countinued in Kanpur on Saturday (September 28).

In the possible 33 overs on day one, Bangladesh managed to get to 107/3 with Mominul Haque (40*) and Mushfiqur Rahim (6*) unbeaten at the crease when stumps was called early on the opening day of the Kanpur Test.
Akash Deep had claimed the first two wickets inside 13 overs, while Ravichandran Ashwin ended a stubborn stand of 51, dismissing Bangladesh skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto for 31 in the 29th over.
On day 2, there was a steady drizzle until 10 AM IST followed by light rain after the late evening and overnight showers from the previous day also had seemed to have done the damage despite the entire ground being under covers.
With no chance of an immediate start in the morning session, the players were seen heading back to their hotel via the team bus, and eventually just before the tea break around 2 PM IST, the umpires called the second day's play off.
With one and a half days already lost in the Test, there will be hope for better conditions in the remaining three days as India aim to get a result rather than settling for draw, which seems the most likely outcome as it stands.
