IND vs BAN: India will lock horns against Bangladesh in their third and last Super Fours match of the Asia Cup 2023. The Rohit Sharma-led team has qualified for the final on Sunday, and therefore the result of the match will not affect their campaign in the continental showpiece event.
India defeated Pakistan by 238 runs in their first Super Fours (Super 4) match and followed it up with a 41-run win against Sri Lanka to qualify for the Asia Cup 2023 final.

The dead rubber on Friday gives India a chance to test their bench strength and game time to someone like Suryakumar Yadav, who is part of the World Cup 2023 squad, but hasn't yet played a match in the Asia Cup 2023.
Prasidh Krishna and Tilak Varma are the other two players who are yet to feature in an Asia Cup 2023. However, chances of them playing against Bangladesh is also very low. The two players have not been picked in India's World Cup 2023 squad.
India would like to give game time to players who are part of the ICC mega event which starts in India from October 5. Shreyas Iyer has missed the first two games of the Super Fours stage due to a back spasm injury. KL Rahul got an opportunity in his absence and hit a brilliant hundred against Pakistan and followed it up with a handy 39 off 44 in a low-scoring thriller against Sri Lanka.
IND vs BAN: India expected changes in playing eleven vs Bangladesh
There are quite a few possibilities. With the World Cup 2023 round the corner, there is a possibility that India make no changes and play with their core unit without giving breaks to their regulars.
But the opportunity is just perfect to try out the bench strength and give confidence to other players of India's 15-member World Cup squad. There is a chance that Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma can both sit out, just like they did during the West Indies ODIs.
In this scenario, Ishan Kishan goes to open with Shubman Gill, and there is a space for Suryakumar Yadav and Shreyas Iyer in the middle. KL Rahul, who is coming from injury, gets to continue his good momentum. Hardik Pandya will take over captaincy responsibility under this situation.
Jasprit Bumrah bowled on two consecutive days on Tuesday and Wednesday. He has very well proved his fitness but using him Judiciously would be wise. He can make way for Mohammed Shami.
In the second scenario, India could opt to rest Ishan Kishan/KLRahul and Virat Kohli and bring in Suryakumar Yadav and Shreyas Iyer.

Scenario 1
Tilak Varma to get a chance?
The young southpaw was also seen attending the optional net session on Thursday and he might get to make his ODI debut in the dead rubber. Hardik Pandya or Ravindra Jadeja could be the one making room for him. If Hardik is rested, Rohit would most likely take the field and lead the team. In case Jadeja makes it into the eleven, there can be a toss up between Axar Patel and Shardul Thakur again as per the conditions.
