India vice-captain Hardik Pandya has continued his revival in the T20 World Cup 2024 after a dismal period in the IPL.
Hardik Pandya was at his absolute best as the all-rounder scored a fantastic fifty against Bangladesh in the Super Eight match on Saturday.

Hardik came into bat with India needing him to play a big hand, and the player showcased his class with a superb knock. Pandya scored an unbeaten 50 off just 27 balls. He hit 4 fours and 3 sixes, while managing 18 runs off the last over to take India to 196 for 5 in their full quota of 20 overs.
This half-century from Hardik Pandya is also the 5th fastest by an Indian player in a T20 World Cup. This is also the fastest fifty by an Indian when batting at no. 6 or lower in a T20 World Cup match.
The fastest 50 by an Indian player in a T20 World Cup match was scored by Yuvraj Singh against England in the T20 World Cup 2007. That was also the match where Yuvraj scored six sixes in an over at the expense of Stuart Broad.
| Player | Against | Balls Taken | Year |
| Yuvraj Singh | England | 12 | 2007 |
| KL Rahul | Scotland | 18 | 2021 |
| Yuvraj Singh | Australia | 20 | 2007 |
| Suryakumar Yadav | Zimbabwe | 23 | 2022 |
| Hardik Pandya | Bangladesh | 27 | 2024 |
Hardik Pandya has shown his skills in this World Cup. The 30-year-old has managed 89 runs so far with the bat with a strike rate of 141, and has been brilliant with the ball as well, picking up 7 wickets so far.
India has already won their first Super 8 match against Afghanistan and a win over Bangladesh will all but confirm their place in the semifinals.
