IND vs BAN: In the IND vs Ban 1st T20I, India defeated Bangladesh by seven wickets at the brand-new Shrimant Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium in Gwalior on Sunday, October 6.
The victory joy was compounded as it came at the new stadium, which was the first new international venue to come up in Gwalior since the Captain Roop Singh Stadium in 2010.

The win was crucial in two ways, as it not only allowed India to extend its dominance over Bangladesh to the shortest format, but continued the team’s great form in debutant cricketing grounds over the years.
In the last 10 years, India has seen 17 new international stadiums being debuted. India has played in all but two of those stadiums, and in the 15 debut matches, Team India (both men and women teams) has emerged victorious 10 times, including the latest victory against Bangladesh on Sunday.
