IND vs BAN: The players and the coaching staff of the Indian cricket cricket team are unhappy and angry ahead of their crucial Super 8 match against Bangladesh in the T20 World Cup 2024 on Saturday, June 22.
Players are unhappy with the day matches they have been playing in the T20 World Cup 2024. Notably, all the India matches are being held in the daytime to increase the viewership.

Matches scheduled at 10:30 AM in the USA and the West Indies start at 8:00 PM in India. In case Team India was playing evening games, they would have started early in the morning in India around 6:00 AM.
However, the hectic travelling accompanied with day games in scorching heat hasn't done down well with the Rohit-Sharma led Indian team. The players are not liking the fact that their personal well-being is being overlooked for increased viewership.
The fooding has also been an issue. Cold sandwiches are being served to the players. As per a report by Sports Tak, ICC and host board Cricket West Indies (CWI) have refused to address the issue, saying that all the teams are being served the same food.
The players have therefore been forced to make arrangements for their food at their own expense. The BCCI has also stepped in to address the fooding issues of their players.
The Indian cricket team has also raised concerns over non-availability of reserve day for the second semi-final game which will be played in Guayana on June 27.
It has been pre-decided that India would be playing the second semi-final only, if they qualify. The first semi-final in Tarouba starts from 6:00 AM IST on June 27 (8:30 PM local time on June 26). A reserve day has been kept for the match.
But the second semi-final match in Guayana which starts from 8:00 PM IST on June June 27 (10:30 AM local time on June 27) has no reserve day. An extended 250 minutes of play will be allotted on the same day if there is a rain interruption. Chances of rain is high in Guayana in the next week.
Also, India would crash out before the final even without playing in the semi-finals if they finish second in Group 1 of Super 8 round. As per the ICC playing conditions, team finishing first in Super 8 round would progress to the final if the semi-final is abandoned without a result.
India are unbeaten in the tournament ahead of their match against Bangladesh at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium. India are looking to maintain the mood of the camp and unbeaten run as they look to end an 11-year-old drought for an ICC trophy.
