It was yet another fruitless and frustrating day at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur as Day 3 of the Test between India and Bangladesh also got washed out without a ball.
Despite the leash in the rain, it was not possible for the match to resume as the umpires cited a wet outfield as cause for their concern.

The teams were at the stadium again but they had to come back without any action as the day's play was abandoned at around 2 pm IST on Sunday. There was not a drop of rain in Kanpur on Sunday, but still, the inability to start the match has raised questions.
The fans have raised their frustration, while the experts of the game seriously questioned the quality of the pitch and the outfield at the Green Park stadium. Amid this, the Kanpur pitch curator has come up with his own version of the incident and has raised a few serious concerns.
The Kanpur curator was baffled by the procedure of the pitch inspections as the match referee and the officials never clarified the reason for not resuming the match. The curator also asked the officials to highlight the area of concern, but nothing was communicated.
"They provided us with three different times for inspection but never specified what the issue was, whether an area was wet or something else. I told them they could start the match, and if there were any concerns, they should let me know," the curator said while speaking to the media.
The drainage condition of the stadium in Kanpur has already been questioned as the match has taken a massive hit amid the incessant rain. After three days, only 35 overs have been played and no ball has been bowled in the last two days. It is to be seen if play is possible on Monday as the weather in Kanpur remains rain-free for now.
