After delivering an outstanding performance against Bangladesh in the second T20I in Delhi, Nitish Kumar Reddy expressed his gratitude towards the team management for allowing him the freedom to play aggressively.
Nitish, who was playing only his 2nd international match, displayed a magnificent all-round performance as India sealed the T20I series against Bangladesh.

In the post-match presentation, Reddy shared his emotions, stating, "Feels great to represent India, feel so proud about this moment. Grateful for everything. I should give credit to captain and coach. They gave me the license to play fearless cricket."
"I took my time initially, but after that no-ball everything went in my favour. It feels great to play for the Indian team. I want to continue in this same way. Want to keep repeating such good performances," he added.
Nitish Reddy's remarkable innings of 74 runs off 34 balls, including four fours and seven sixes, was pivotal in India posting a formidable total of 221/9. His contribution did not stop with the bat, as he also claimed two wickets with the ball.
With that, the 21-year-old made history by becoming the first Indian player to score over 70 runs and take two wickets in a T20I match. His performance not only earned him the Player of the Match award but also solidified his place as a promising all-rounder for India. In the realm of Indian cricket, a pace-bowling all-rounder is something which was looked as a rarity, but Nitish Kumar Reddy is the newest addition to the list with the likes of Hardik Pandya, Shivam Dube already in the fray.
Nitish's performance was crucial as India claimed a magnificent victory over Bangladesh by 86 runs, thus clinching the T20I series. The final match of the series will be played Saturday (October 12) in Hyderabad.
