IND vs BAN: The Day 3 of the second Test match being played at the Green Park in Kanpur also ended with any action. It did not rain at all, and even the sun was out at 2:00 PM when the umpires walked out for a scheduled inspection, but a decision to abandon the day's play and return on Monday was taken due to the wet outfield.
After 35 overs of play on Day 1, Day 2 was also called off with a ball being bowled. The rain had stopped on Saturday as well but a large amount of water on the covers left no scope for the teams to come and entertain the fans, who turned out in good numbers on all three days so far.

With just two more days remaining, the Kanpur Test is heading towards a likely draw. While India were hoping for a 2-0 clean sweep over Bangladesh, the visitors were aiming to give a winning farewell to their veteran all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, who is potentially playing his last Test match.
A total of three inspections were done on Sunday. The first one was done at 10:00 AM, while the final 2:00 PM inspection was scheduled after one at 12:00 PM.
The poor drainage facility of the Green Park stadium in Kanpur has also come under focus after no action on two consecutive days.
India are aiming for five wins at home (two vs Bangladesh, and three vs New Zealand) to keep a strong hold on their number one spot in the World Test Championship (WTC) standings, before flying to Australia for a five-Test series from November 22.
After being asked to bat first, Bangladesh have scored 107 runs for the loss of three wickets in Kanpur. Akash Deep picked two wickets on the opening day.
