Ravi Ashwin's family's joy knew no bounds after India won their opening Test against Bangladesh by 280 runs. In the first session on Day 4, Ashwin's wife Prithi and their daughters were present at the MA Chidambaram Stadium where India took a 1-0 lead in the two-match series.
Ashwin and his family had a dream day-out as India extended their home dominance with Chennai Test win. The 38-year-old Ashwin had a memorable day after he picked up his 37th five-wicket haul in Tests, equalling the legendary Shane Warne's tally in the purest format.

Only Sri Lanka's smiling assassin and spin wizard, Muttiah Muralitharan, has more five-wicket hauls than Ashwin (67) in Test cricket. Ashwin could not make a breakthrough in the first innings, but finished with stupendous figures of 21-0-88-6 in the second.
After India triumphed at the Chepauk, Ashwin's family danced in joy, celebrating the spinner's achievement on the very ground where he has played cricket since his childhood.
At Stumps on Day 3, Bangladesh needed 357 more runs to win with six wickets in hand while chasing a mammoth target of 515. Najmul Hossain Shanto and Shakib Al Hasan carried on and built a partnership of 48 runs for the fifth wicket. But once Ashwin got rid of Shakib, the Tigers' batting unit fell like nine pins.
Shanto had already got his fifty in the third session on Day 3, and he carried on with his impressive knock. The southpaw was unlucky to not get to a century after Ravindra Jadeja removed him.
Shanto scored 82 runs off 127 balls with the help of eight fours and three sixes. Ashwin, who now has 99 wickets in the fourth innings of Test matches, did not give the Bangladesh batters much breathing space. Jadeja cleaned up Hasan Mahmud to pull the curtains down on the match.
