Rishabh Pant completed his full circle after making a comeback in Test cricket against Bangladesh.
The India batter showcased his class in his return as well. After an important 39 runs in the first innings, Pant went on to score a century in the second, thus registering his 6th ton in Test cricket.

Pant was at his destructive best as he dismantled the Bangladeshi bowling attack. But not just with the bat, Pant entertained with his cheeky humour as well. The southpaw was captured in a hilarious exchange during his own batting, when he kind of set the field against him!
During the 2nd innings, Pant was set to face pacer Taskin Ahmed. Just before the ball, Pant was seen advising the Bangladeshi fielders to place one player on the onside in the mid-wicket region. And much to the surprise, the fielder was moved to mid-wicket as well by the Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto.
"Aare idhar aayega ek. Bhai, ek idhar. Wahaan Fielder Hain. Mid-wicket (Put a fielder here brother. There is already one man. Keep someone at Mid-wicket)," a hilarious Pant was heard saying to Bangladesh players.
Although it had little impact as Pant continued his onslaught, the India player was asked about the antics behind the benevolence towards Bangladesh players. And in reply, Pant mocked Bangladesh by saying cricket has to be ideal irrespective of teams and he only spotted the mistake and asked the Bangladeshi players to rectify it.
"Cricket has to be played ideally wherever you play. It doesn't matter if your own team plays or the other. There were two fielders standing at the same place and I told him to place one fielder at the other place," Pant said during a post-match chat.
India continued their dominance and secured a fantastic victory. Pant has been a phenomenon for India in Test cricket and will be extremely happy with his hundred. The player also spoke about the change in his batting gear during the 2nd innings and revealed it was words from Rohit Sharma during lunch which prompted him to bat more aggressively.
"During the Lunch, we were talking about declaration. Rohit Bhai [Rohit Sharma] told that 'we're only going to play one hour after lunch, so try scoring as much as you can'. That changed my mindset and I started to play more aggressively as I thought 150 was possible," Pant added.
India will play the Tigers in the next Test which starts in Kanpur from September 27.
