IND vs BAN: India captain Rohit Sharma has added another milestone to his illustrious career by becoming the second-fastest batter in the world to reach 11,000 runs in One-Day Internationals (ODIs).
Rohit achieved the feat during India's ICC Champions Trophy 2025 opener against Bangladesh at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. With this achievement, Rohit joined an elite list of batters who have surpassed 11,000 ODI runs.

He is now the fourth Indian to do so, following in the footsteps of cricket legends Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, and Sourav Ganguly. Across all teams, he became the 10th player to reach this milestone.
Rohit reached the 11,000-run mark in just 261 innings, making him the second-fastest player to achieve this feat. He surpassed the legendary Sachin Tendulkar, who took 276 innings to reach the same milestone. However, the record for the fastest to 11,000 ODI runs still belongs to Virat Kohli, who achieved it in just 222 innings back in 2019.
This latest record further cements Rohit's legacy as one of India's greatest ODI batters. Over the years, his consistency, leadership, and aggressive batting have played a crucial role in India's success across all formats.
