Rohit Sharma took over Virat Kohli’s record to become the fourth-highest run-scorer in the history of the World Cup. He has scored 1243 runs in 21 matches at an average of 65.42. and a strike rate of 102.55. Only AB de Villiers has scored over 800 World Cup runs with a better average.

Bangladesh have posted a 157-run target for India. The opening partnership between Rohit and Shubman Gill accounted for 88 runs. India are looking for their fourth consecutive win in the World Cup 2023.
