Off-spinner Mehidy Hasan Miraz trapped him late on Day 2. Kohli attempted to play a fuller delivery towards square but closed his bat face too early, missing the straighter ball.

Despite having all reviews available, Kohli chose not to challenge the umpire's decision. After being given out by Richard Kettleborough, Kohli consulted his batting partner Shubman Gill. Gill confirmed that it was straight, yet urged Kohli to review. However, Kohli decided against it and walked off. The replay then showed that the India batter clearly got an inside edge in it.

Rohit Sharma's Reaction

The Indian dressing room and spectators were taken aback when the replay showed a spike on Ultraedge, indicating an edge that Kohli missed. Rohit Sharma, watching from the dressing room, appeared shocked at the revelation. Meanwhile, Gill grimaced upon seeing the replay, while umpire Kettleborough could only afford a cheeky grin.

Kohli's dismissal was unexpected as he seemed confident in his decision not to review. This incident highlighted how crucial technology can be in cricket decisions. The moment also underscored the importance of using available reviews wisely during matches.

The match continued with India aiming to build a strong lead over Bangladesh. The team hoped to capitalise on their position despite Kohli's early departure in the innings. India currently are on 81 for 3 at the end of the day's play and has a mammoth lead of 308 runs.
