IND vs BAN: Virat Kohli spotted having fun while carrying drinks - Instances when seniors carried water

Virat Kohli was spotted enjoying the role of Team India waterboy after being rested in the dead rubber Asia Cup 2023 match against Bangladesh in the Asia Cup 2023 at the R Premadasa Stadium on Friday.

The former India captain was seen running in an animated fashion while entering the field to cater to his teammates in action on the ground after Rohit Sharma opted to bowl first.

Mohammed Siraj, who was running after him with water bottles in his hand, could not stop his laughter watching the antics of Virat Kohli. "What a character," fans captioned the viral pictures and videos of Kohli carrying drinks in the middle.

This isn't the first instance that the superstar batter, who completed his 13,000 ODI runs this week, has carried drinks for his teammates. Most recently, he carried drinks in the ODI series against West Indies. He has also carried drinks in New Zealand and in Australia during a practice match ahead of the T20 World Cup 2022.

There have been other instances of senior India cricketers carrying drinks as well. Have a look.

Ravichandran Ashwin: The star off-spinner was not included in India playing eleven for the World Test Championship (WTC) final against Australia in June this year. However, he kept himself busy by carrying drinks. The 36-year-old and veteran of 94 Test matches also did not shy from passing on his suggestions to captain Rohit Sharma during his visits in the middle of The Oval in London.

MS Dhoni: India's most iconic captain has often floored fans and teammates with his humility. The 42-year-old did not have any air around him and carried drinks several times in his career as a senior India cricketer.

The wicketkeeper-batter was seen carrying drinks for the India batters during the Tri-Series featuring Australia and Sri Lanka in 2012. Five years later, he served drinks again during a warm-up match at the 2017 Champions Trophy. In 2018, he carried drinks and kit bags for players during India's second T20I against Ireland.

Sachin Tendulkar: In a 2005 charity game between ICC World XI and Asia XI after the devastating tsunami in Sri Lanka in 2004, Sachin Tendulkar was seen carrying drinks. Following the dismissal of World XI captain Ricky Ponting at the hands of Anil Kumble, the former India captain walked out on the field, carrying refreshments for hisAsia XI teammates.
