IND vs BAN Warm-up Match: India look to solve four riddles in only practice match ahead of T20 World Cup 2024

IND vs BAN: India will take on Bangladesh in their only T20 World Cup 2024 warm-up match at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium on Saturday, June 1. The match is slated to start at 8 PM IST.

The match will give India the opportunity to understand the US conditions, and get used to it before their Group A matches in the country. All the players are coming fresh from IPL 2024 and have spent some time in the nets before their match against neighbours Bangladesh.

The match will also give Rohit Sharma to try out his desired team combination, and test out some players before finalising the playing eleven for their US leg of the T20 World Cup 2024. Following are the top three things to watch out for in India vs Bangladesh T20 World Cup warm-up match.

The opening conundrum: The match will clear India's stance on their opening combination if Virat Kohli is available to feature in the match. Kohli arrived in the USA late after opting for mini-break post IPL.

Whether Virat Kohli will open with captain Rohit Sharma will get clear. Kohli finished as the leading run-scorer in the IPL 2024 after scoring 741 runs with a strike rate in excess of 150.

On the other hand, Yashasvi Jaiswal struggled but there are high chances of India persisting with the youngster to open with Kohli at three. The warm-up will surely clear India's stance going into the T20 World Cup 2024.

The bowling combination: Will go out and play with three pacers and two spinners including Ravindra Jadeja or will they play with two pacers and three spinners? We can expect to get an answer for the same in the India vs Bangladesh warm-up match.

India have picked only three specialist pacers in Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh and Mohammed Siraj. Calls are already being made for Arshdeep to play ahead of Siraj. Hardik Pandya is back to bowling and he gives India the option of a third pacer. That may allow India to play both Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal.

Rishabh Pant or Sanju Samson: The warm-up match will also clear out the picture on India's first-choice wicketkeeper-batter in the T20 World Cup 2024. Pant and Samson showed class as the captains of their respective sides in the IPL 2024.

Sanju Samson has a better record in T20 format and can be used as a floater as well. However, Pant could be picked ahead of him because of his proven match-winning abilities in the past, and the confidence of Rohit and head coach Rahul Dravid in him. Also, Pant has batted in the middle-order throughout his career.

The batting order and Hardik vs Dube contest: Will Shivam Dube play ahead of Hardik Pandya? Or will the both fast-bowling all-rounders play together. Dube's recent form can also see him play as a specialist batter.

It would be interesting to see the batting order in this case. Will India be able to accommodate Ravindra Jadeja in case both Hardik and Dube play? Or will one between Kuldeep and Chahal play to include Jadeja? Many puzzles will be solved on Saturday.
