IND vs ENG: 114/1 to 253 all out- Jasprit Bumrah picks five-wicket-haul as England collapse in Visakhapatnam

IND vs ENG: Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav starred after Axar Patel opened floodgates with the wicket of Zak Crawley during England's first innings on Day 2 of the ongoing second Test in Visakhapatnam.

After India were bundled out for 396, England found themselves cruising at 114/1. They crossed the 100-run mark in just 20 overs to give India, who lost the first Test despite taking a 190-run lead, a major scare.

However, Axar Patel opened the gates before Jasprit Bumrah ran through it with his tenth Test five-wicket haul and best bowling figures in India (6/45) to help India bundle out England for 253 and take a 143-run lead.

Axar struck on the third ball of his first over to remove a dangerous Zak Crawley who scored 76 runs off just 78 balls. The wicket equally belonged to Shreyas Iyer who grabbed an absolute stunner by diving at backward point region.

The next man to depart was former England captain Joe Root. Bumrah left Root in two minds, forcing him to edge a delivery straight into the hands of Shubman Gill. The wicket created further pressure on England, and kicked off the start to a brilliant spell from the Indian pace spearhead.

Ollie Pope survived a stumping on the first ball, but the hero of the Hyderabad Test was clean bowled for 23 off 55 balls by Jasprit Bumrah. A reverse-swinging yorker rattled two of the stumps to reduce England to 136/4.

After the tea break, Bumrah bowled 10 consecutive dot deliveries to Jonny Bairstow who was staying in his crease to avoid getting trapped in front of the stumps from any in-swinging delivery. Realising the plot, Bumrah bowled one wide off him as Bairstow fell for the trap by chasing it and pushing an edge into the hands of Gill at first slip.

Kuldeep Yadav, who dismissed Ben Duckett, joined the party to clean bowl Ben Foakes and get rid of Rehan Ahmed who tried playing a pull only to get caught at midwicket and leave England reeling at 182/7.

Jasprit Bumah once again struck in the 50th over to clean the stumps of England captain Ben Stokes (47 off 54) this time. The ball seamed back in and stayed down to slide under the toe of the bat and hit the stumps. The wicket of Bumrah's 150th in Test cricket (34 matches).

The 30-year-old soon completed his five-wicket haul by getting Tom Hartley (21 ff 24) getting caught in the first slip by Shubman Gill once again. Bumrah picked his sixth wicket in the form of James Anderson as England were bundled out for 253.
