Star Indian batters Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli close in on big milestones heading into the third and final ODI against England, scheduled to be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Wednesday (February 12).
With the series already in the bag, Rohit & Co will look to complete a whitewash when they face Jos Buttler's side, who will be desperate to get a win on the board before the ICC Champions Trophy, which starts next week in Karachi.

Both Rohit and Kohli had struggled for runs since late last year, but the former silenced his critics with a swift century in the second ODI at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack, helping the hosts claim an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.
During that knock, Indian skipper Rohit got very close to a massive milestone and also drew ever closer to breaking the record for most sixes in the 50-over format with seven maximums in the 4-wicket win over England on Sunday (February 9).
Kohli is yet to get among the runs, but is one big knock away from breaking another barrier in One Day International. Having missed a rare appearance in ODI due to an injury in the series opener, the star Indian batter had managed to get only 5 runs in Cuttack.
But, Kohli, the team management and the fans will hope the batting maestro finds some runs heading into the Champions Trophy 2025, which is set to be held in Pakistan and UAE, starting from February 19.
Apart from Kohli and Rohit, a few other players who will be involved in today's match also have a chance to get their names etched in the record books with milestones in sight. Here is a look at the milestones or records that can be breached during IND vs ENG 3rd ODI:
89 runs - Kohli needs to become the third player in history of the game to complete 14000 runs in ODI cricket, and also become the fastest to the landmark, eclipsing Sachin Tendulkar, who holds the record of reaching the feat in his 350th innings.
13 runs - Rohit needs to become the tenth player to complete 11,000 runs in ODI cricket. If he manages to achieve the feat in his 260th innings, Rohit will become the the second-fastest to the milestone. Kohli holds the record, having reached the milestone in 222 innings.
13 sixes - Rohit also needs as many big hits to become the highest six-hitter in the 50-over format. Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi currently holds the record with 351 sixes. Rohit currently sits in second with 338 maximums after the onslaught on Sunday (February 9).
3 wickets - Mohammed Shami needs three scalps to become the fastest Indian to 200 wickets in ODIs. Ajit Agarkar holds the record in 133 innings. If he achieves the feat, Shami will also become the joint-second fastest overall alongside Pakistan's Saqlain Mushtaq, who achieved the milestone in 104 matches.
1 match - Ravindra Jadeja will be making his 200th appearance in the ODI format if he makes the playing 11 for the contest in Ahmedabad. In 199 matches, Jadeja has claimed 226 wickets and scored 2779 runs in his 50-over career.
