IND vs ENG 3rd Test: Paneer Makhni, Lamb Do Piaza, Beef Fillet – Full Day 3 Lunch Menu For Players

IND vs ENG 3rd Test: As the riveting third Test between India and England continued on Day 3 at Lord's, fans witnessed not just high-quality cricket, but also got a glimpse of the rich and diverse culinary experience laid out for the players.

With a menu that balanced taste, nutrition, and variety, the chefs ensured that the athletes stayed fuelled for a demanding day in the middle.

IND vs ENG 3rd Test

The food on offer ranged from continental to Indian flavours. Players could begin their meal with a nourishing Root Vegetable Soup, followed by main course options including Roasted Beef Fillet, Salmon Fillet, and the rich Lamb Do Piaza Curry. For those preferring vegetarian delights, there was the creamy Paneer & Broccoli Makhni, spicy Harissa Spiced Cauliflower, and hearty Chickpea Curry.

To round off the meal, players had their choice of Basmati Rice, Seasoned Potato Wedges, and a mix of Broccoli, Beans, and Peas, offering the right mix of carbs and greens. For dessert, a refreshing Fruit Salad and Greek Yoghurt with Summer Berries served as the perfect post-meal cool-down.

Meanwhile, on the field, India ended the first session strongly at 248/4 after 65.3 overs, riding on a solid partnership between KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant. Rahul, playing with patience and finesse, was unbeaten on 97 off 171 balls, just three short of a well-deserved century. Rishabh Pant, batting through pain due to an injured left index finger, played a courageous innings of 74 off 112 balls, which included 8 fours and 2 sixes.

Pant, however, was run out in the final over before lunch, thanks to a moment of brilliance from England captain Ben Stokes. Despite the setback, Pant's gritty knock was notable - he broke MS Dhoni's record by registering his eighth 50+ Test score in England, the most by a visiting wicketkeeper.

While Rahul stood tall at the crease and the match remained delicately poised, the off-field menu served as a reminder of the attention to detail and care that goes into every aspect of hosting a Test match at Lord's - including what's served on the players' plates.
