Series already in the bag, Team India will look to carry the winning momentum when they host England the fifth and final T20I at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday (February 2).
Suryakumar Yadav-led Men in Blue claimed an unassailable lead of 3-1 over Jos Buttler's England in the five-match series after bouncing back from a loss in Rajkot with an impressive win in the fourth T20I at the MCA Stadium in Pune on Friday (January 31).

After losing the first two matches at the Eden Gardens and Chepauk respectively, England had kept the series alive with a victory in the third T20I at the SCA Stadium in Rajkot. The home team, however, responded in style to seal the series.
Put into bat, India were struggling at 12 for 3, but an 87-run stand between Hardik Pandya (53 off 30 balls) and Shivam Dube (53 off 34 balls) took the hosts to 181/9. For England, Saqib Mahmood (3/35) was the most successful bowler.
In response, England were bowled out for 166 with concussion substitute Harshit Rana playing a pivotal role for the hosts, taking 3/33. Rana, who replaced Dube for the second half, along with spinners Ravi Bishnoi (3/28) and Varun Chakravarthy (2/28) helped India seal a 16-run win.
Now, in a dead rubbber, England will hope for a consolation win when the action shifts to Wankhede Stadium, where wickets have been known as batters paradise, especially with dew setting in late in the innings.
The Mumbai venue last hosted a T20 international over two years ago in 2023, when India pulled off a thrilling 2-run victory over Sri Lanka by defending 162. Axar Patel, Shivam Mavi and Deepak Hooda played crucial roles for India in that match.
Overall, India has a decent record in the limited T20Is staged at the venue, but they have been beaten by England in the earlier meeting in Mumbai. The Men in Blue have won their last three of their last four matches in the shortest format at the venue.
England also have won two and lost once in their three T20I outings in Mumbai. The visitors wins have come against India and West Indies with both the results coming back in 2016. Here is a look at the T20 stats and records at the venue followed by IPL numbers in Mumbai ahead of IND vs ENG 5th T20I:
