Reacting to Dhruv Jurel's maiden India call up, Riyan Parag took social media platform X and wrote, "Mera ladka ban gaya INDIA ab rok ke dikhao koi @dhruvjurel21 (my boy is now an India player, try and stop him if you can.)"

Dhruv Jurel was recently part of India A squad which played unofficial Test matches in South Africa. The right-hand batter scored 69 runs in his only outing in the second match, and also picked three catches behind the stumps.

He finished the tournament as the leading run-scorer (510 runs in 10 innings at an average of 85). He also picked 11 wickets at an average of 24.54.
