Varun Chakravarthy dismantled the English with three wickets while the likes of Arshdeep Singh, Ravi Bishnoi also starred as the visitors were bundled out for 132 runs. Chasing a moderate total, Abhishek Sharma powered India to a cruising victory. The southpaw scored 79 runs off just 34 deliveries as India won with 43 balls to spare.

With the win, India has now matched Pakistan to a unique record of winning most consecutive T20I matches at a single venue. In T20Is, maintaining a winning streak at a particular venue is a testament to a team's dominance and familiarity with the conditions.

Among Full Member teams, England holds the record for the most consecutive wins at a single venue. They achieved 8 consecutive victories at Cardiff's Sophia Gardens between 2010 and 2021. England's success at this venue highlights their ability to adapt to the conditions and execute consistent performances over more than a decade.

Following closely are Pakistan and India with 7 consecutive wins each at specific venues. Pakistan's streak of 7 wins at Karachi's National Stadium from 2008 to 2021 demonstrates their supremacy at home, capitalizing on favourable conditions and strong crowd support. Similarly, India has achieved 7 consecutive wins at Kolkata's Eden Gardens, a run that began in 2016 and is still ongoing as of January 2025.
