India wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant has broken the roof at Beckenham during the practice ahead of the Test series against England.
Team India has reached London ahead of their five-match Test series on English soil, which also commences the new cycle of the World Test Championship.

Shortly after their arrival, the squad wasted no time beginning rigorous sessions at Lord's Indoor Cricket Centre in London. Under the guidance of captain Shubman Gill and head coach Gautam Gambhir, players were engaged in comprehensive drills-from agility and strength training to foot‑tennis and fielding practice. High-intensity drills were a focus, with bowlers like Bumrah, Krishna, Siraj, and Arshdeep, alongside fielders like Pant and Jadeja pushing through extended routines
And amid the practice session, Pant hit a gigantic six which dismantled the roof of one of the buildings adjacent to the ground. A video is circulating on social media which shows Pant's superb strike, which came in the bowling of Washington Sundar. The video, which was originally shared by ESPNCricinfo, shows that the shot broke the tiled roof of a building.
The Indian team is being led by Shubman Gill, as he was appointed as the new Test captain following Rohit Sharma's retirement. Prior to the first Test at Headingley (June 20), Team India will undergo practical exposure through three four‑day intra-squad matches between the senior and India A teams, set to be held in Beckenham.
A few of the Indian players are already part of the India A squad and have done well so far. Karun Nair scored a double hundred in the first unofficial match against England Lions, while KL Rahul has scored a century in the second match. India A captain Abhimanyu Easwaran has also notched up two half-centuries so far.
