IND vs ENG: After former South Africa and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) star AB de Villiers revealed that Virat Kohli was not playing the first two Test matches against India as he is expecting his second child with with wife Anushka Sharma, BCCI selectors are likely to talk to the start cricketer and ask about his future plans.
Speaking in a Q&A session on his YouTube channel during India's ongoing second Test against England in Visakhapatnam, Ab de Villiers revealed Virat Kohli's 'personal reasons' which forced him to miss the first two Tests. He said Kohli made himself unavailable to be with his pregnant wife Anushka Sharma.

"Yes, his second child is on the way. It's family time and things are important to him. If you are not true and genuine to yourself, you lose track of what you are here for.
"I think most people's priority is family. You can't judge Virat for that. Yes, we miss him. But he has made absolutely the right decision," AB de Villiers said.
Following the revelation, the BCCI selection committee led by Ajit Agarkar is very likely to speak with Virat Kohli and enquire about his plans for the last three Test matches of the five-Test series against England. As per the reports the 35-year-old is currently out of the country.
"Family comes first as BCCI's press release stated and Virat will only play if he feels that he is in a position to play," a BCCI source in know of things told PTI on conditions of anonymity.
Virat Kohli earlier missed the first T20I against Afghanistan in Mohali due to personal reasons. Madhya Pradesh Rajat Patidar, who made his debut in the ongoing second Test, was included in the squad in place of Virat Kohli.
Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer, who have been struggling for big runs, will have to step up in the second innings of the ongoing Test against England in Visakhapatnam because KL Rahul could get fit in time for the third Test starting on February 14 in Rajkot.
The squad for the remaining three Tests against England will be named next week after the conclusion of the second Test.
