'Virat Kohli you're finished' - Fans angry as India star perishes for 5 runs in Cuttack

Virat Kohli has made an underwhelming return to ODI cricket as the India stalwart fell after scoring just 5 runs on Sunday (February 9).

The anticipation was high at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack as the India batter returned from a knee injury, which kept him out of the Nagpur match.

The jam-packed crowd in Cuttack was hoping to witness a masterclass from Kohli after an excellent start from Rohit Sharma. The India captain, along with Shubman Gill, stitched a partnership of 136 runs for first wicket, thus providing a strong platform in the run chase.

Kohli came out to bat with arousing cheers across the stadium. He then hit a boundary to open his account which put the stadium into frenzy mode. But a couple of overs later, Kohli was beaten by spin of Adil Rashid as he only managed an edge to Phil Salt. The entire stadium was stunned in silence as Kohli departed only after scoring 5 runs.

The fans were not happy with the performance of Virat Kohli. Plenty of them took to social media and expressed their anger on the batter amid his poor run of form.

"What if he is not real Kohli and just a body double of him ?? And the real Virat Kohli is enjoying his life in London with his family since the last few months," a fan asked on X.

Although Virat Kohli is picked for the Champions Trophy, a fan says he doesn't want to see him.

Well this is an interesting viewpoint of this fan, who believes the India stalwart doesn't want to perform against England.
