A ball boy at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack had a moment to cherish forever during the 2nd ODI match between Indian and England on Sunday (February 9).

In a heartwarming incident, a young ball boy experienced an unforgettable moment when cricket superstar Virat Kohli approached him for a handshake. Fielding near the boundary, Kohli noticed the eager ball boy extending his hand and graciously reciprocated, leaving the youngster elated. Overcome with joy, the ball boy celebrated with a double fist pump, his face radiating sheer delight.

This touching exchange quickly gained traction on social media platforms, with fans sharing videos and photos of the moment.

Many netizens drew parallels between the ball boy's astonished expression and a famous scene from the Bollywood film "Om Shanti Om," where Shah Rukh Khan's character is left awestruck after a wave from actress Deepika Padukone.

The India stalwart didn't play in Nagpur due to a knee swelling but was declared fit for Cuttack, replacing Yashasvi Jaiswal in the team.

In the match, England put a decent score of 304 before getting bundled out. Ravindra Jadeja was the best bowler for the hosts with three wickets and it was a magnificent outing for Kohli in the field, who took 2 catches.

India have made a magnificent start in the run chase. Captain Rohit Sharma has returned among runs after an extended lean patch. He is currently batting unbeaten on 52 runs in just 32 deliveries as the hosts are motoring along in the chase. There was also a brief hiatus in the India batting as a portion of a floodlight went off inside the stadium.
