Jasprit Bumrah made a stellar comeback after his 326-day long injury layoff during the first T20I against Ireland at The Village in Dublin on Friday, August 18.

With all eyes on him, the 29-year-old clean bowled Andy Balbirnie on the second ball after being hit for a four on the first delivery. He bowled an in-swinging delivery next before bowling a 135 kmph yorker on the fourth.

Lorcan Tucker tried playing a ramp shot against the class of Bumrah on the fifth delivery but had no control over the shot as wicket-keeper Sanju Samson completed an easy catch. He finished the over with another dot to mark a stunning comeback from a lower back injury.

Jasprit Bumrah has grabbed all the limelight in the last one week. His comeback was a highly anticipated one as India are racing against time to finalise their middle-order batters and pacers for the upcoming Asia Cup 2023 and World Cup 2023.

Bumrah's fitness means the world for the Indian team management and close eyes will be kept on him throughout the 3-match series. His successful comeback will give India a major sigh of relief in the coming three months.

India has missed the services of Bumrah in last year's T20 World Cup and the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final against Australia in June. Bumrah had also missed last year's Asia Cup in the UAE.
