IND vs NZ 1st Test, Weather Report Today: Bengaluru Weather Forecast for October 15 Hints at Rain Disruptions

By MyKhel Staff

Rain continues to disrupt Team India's preparations ahead of the 1st Test against New Zealand, scheduled to begin on October 16 at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. Cloudy skies and sporadic rain showers on Tuesday morning forced the Indian team to cancel their outdoor practice sessions.

According to reports, the team had planned to begin training at 9:30 AM, but persistent showers and heavy cloud cover resulted in players staying indoors. Bengaluru has been experiencing frequent rainfall over the past few days, and the weather shows no signs of improvement as the first Test draws closer.

The pre-match press conference, scheduled for 12:30 PM, might also face delays if the current weather conditions persist. Meteorologists have noted a 90% chance of rain throughout the day, making it highly unlikely that outdoor activities will resume. Forecasts suggest intermittent drizzles in the afternoon, with cloud cover reaching 100%.

With a steady downpour continuing through the morning, the Indian team, led by Rohit Sharma, opted to stay at their team hotel, unable to utilize their final training opportunity ahead of the series opener. Fans and teams alike will be hoping for clearer skies on Wednesday, but the forecast remains uncertain.

The upcoming India-New Zealand Test series, starting Wednesday, might also be impacted, as weather reports suggest a 41% chance of rain and afternoon thunderstorms for Day 1. The two teams will have to make do with limited outdoor practice, and the prevailing weather conditions may set a tone of uncertainty ahead of the much-anticipated Test match.
