IND vs NZ: New Zealand left-arm spinner Mitchell Santner wreaked havoc throughout the course of the Test match and picked 13 wickets in the match as the Indian batting unit collapsed in both the innings.
India were bundled out for 156 in the first innings as Santner picked seven wickets. In the second innings, India were asked to chase 359, but the hosts were on their knees once against Santner. He picked six wickets in the second innings as India were bowled out for 245.

India were once cruising at 96/1 in 15.2 overs but a batting collapse was initiated by Santner after he removed Shubman Gill (23). He also helped the Kiwis get rid of a rampaging Yashasvi Jaiswal (77 off 65), and moments later sent down a rocket throw from backward point to send Rishabh Pant packing.
Virat Kohli was dismissed LBW by Santner before Sarfaraz Khan also failed to defend his stumps against the 32-year-old from Hamilton. Ravindra Jadeja showed some resistance toward the end, and scored 42 off 84. With New Zealand needing only one wicket to win, he came down the track against Ajaz Patel and lofted a delivery towards long-on where Tim Southee picked an impressive catch.
Rohit (India captain): "Disappointing. It's not what we expected. Got to give credit to NZ - they played better than us. We failed to capitalise on certain moments. We failed to respond to those challenges. And we sit here today. Didn't think we batted well enough to get runs on the board.
"You've got to pick 20 wickets to win, yes, but batters have to put runs on the board. Was a great fightback to restrict them to 250-odd but we knew it was going to be challenging. When they started off, they were 200/3 and for us to come back and get them bowled out for 259 was a great effort. Wasn't a pitch where a lot was happening. We just didn't bat well enough.
"Things would've been slightly different had we got a bit closer in the first innings. We want to show up well at Wankhede and try and win that Test. It's a collective failure. I'm not somebody who would blame just the batters or the bowlers. We will come out with better intent, better ideas and better methods at Wankhede."
Tom Latham (New Zealand captain): "Really special feeling. Proud to be in this position. Whole team effort and a clear example of everyone pitching in. When you come over here you want to put your best foot forward. Putting runs on the board at the start was really important.
"Have to mention Mitch Santner. He was fantastic. Has been around the group a long time, and to finally get a break and bowl the way he has - credit to him. It was about trying to stick to our basics and play the long game. Both surfaces have been different, we've needed to adapt and we've done that very well.
"The method we played with last night - to put ourselves on the front foot - was terrific. The way GP played this morning was really important. We knew India were going to come out hot. Didn't realise they were going to come that hot, but we managed to get the breakthroughs in the middle session. Those last two wickets took an age but when Tim took that catch we were really happy."
Mitchell Santner (Man of the Man): "Not really (bowled differently in second innings?). Felt a little harder this time. Credit to India for the way they came out. That was the best way on that wicket. We were just hanging in.
"My side's a bit sore. 20-odd overs in a row. I guess in that kind of situation you just want to keep going. Everytime I got a wicket it felt a little better. Nice to contribute to the team. Winning a series over here is very tough. Obviously very pleasing for us. Everytime you take wickets you feel confident. Landing the ball in the same spot all the time with little changes in pace - that's what we try and do as a spin unit."
