Ravindra Jadeja executed a Mahendra Singh Dhoni-esque no-look run out during the second Test between India and New Zealand on Saturday (October 26) at the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) Stadium in Pune.
Jadeja pulled off the run out to end New Zealand's innings at 255, which set India a fourth innings target of 359 to win the Pune Test and level the series. Starting with a overnight score of 198/5, the visitors added just 57 more runs to their tally.

The star all-rounder was the chief wrecker-in-chief for the home side as he claimed three New Zealand wickets before taking inspiration from his Chennai Super Kings teammate MS Dhoni, to run out William O'Rourke.
In the 70th over of New Zealand's second innings, Jadeja inflicted an Dhoni-like no-look run out as O'Rourke fell short of the crease after showing no urgency in completing the second run.
Jadeja flicked Washington Sundar's throw onto the stumps at the non-striker's end just in time to dismiss O'Rourke as the Kiwis innings ended with Glenn Phillips stranded unbeaten on 48 at the other end.
The left-arm spinner had earlier put an end to the innings of Tom Blundell (41), Mitchell Santner (4) and Ajaz Patel (1). Ravichandran Ashwin also added to his wicket from day 2, while the first innings hero Washington Sundar had claimed 4 wickets in addition to the seven earlier.
Jadeja's execution of the run out got fans comparing the manner of the dismissal to the Dhoni, who is known for his no-look run outs. The former India wicketkeeper has executed such run outs on the international stage as well as the IPL. Here is a look at some of the reactions to Jadeja's run out:
While CSK official social media account compared the run out, one CSK fan account posted "Hey, We Have Seen this one Before, It's a Classic, Then Thala Dhoni, Now Thalapathy Jadeja!"
