Abhishek Sharma's Records Galore
Here are the number of records Abhishek Sharma created with his knock against New Zealand.
4 T20I Centuries
With this knock, Abhishek registered his fourth T20I century, equalling Suryakumar Yadav's tally of four hundreds. Both now trail Rohit Sharma and Glenn Maxwell, who share the record for the most men's T20I centuries with five each. He equalled former India captain Suryakumar Yadav with his century tally.
Most T20 Centuries
The 24-year-old also achieved another significant milestone in overall men's T20 cricket. His century against New Zealand took his tally to 11 hundreds, moving him ahead of Virat Kohli, who has 10, and making him India's outright leader in the format. Only Chris Gayle, with 22 centuries, and Babar Azam, with 13, have more hundreds than Abhishek in men's T20 cricket.
Most Sixes in an Innings
Abhishek Sharma now occupies the top three positions on India's list for most sixes in a T20I innings, having smashed 13 against England in 2025 and 11 against Afghanistan earlier in 2026. His latest assault further underlined his status as India's most destructive T20I batter.
