Indian captain Rohit Sharma couldn't believe himself on his odd dismissal on Day 3 of the ongoing Test match against New Zealand at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
It was a dismissal that no one saw coming. Rohit Sharma stood at the crease for a few seconds after his strange dismissal and even his batting partner, Virat Kohli couldn't believe it at all.

Ajaz Patel silenced the Bengaluru crowd as the skipper made his way back to the dressing room after an impressive half-century. The drama unfolded when Patel pitched in with a length ball on off-stump area.
As it turned out, the red-ball skidded through a little straighter than expected. Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma, who adopted a cautious yet aggressive approach, attempted to stay solid at the crease as he leaned forward for a defence.
While it seemed like a well-executed forward defensive shot in the first place, with the ball meeting the inner half of his bat. However, in an unexpected turn of events, the ball just trickled off the face of the bat, almost in slow motion before rolling onto the stumps.
The senior pro didn't have enough time to kick the ball away from the stumps and before he could actually process, the ball hit the stumps. After the dismissal, Rohit Sharma, well as the spectators, took a few moments to process what had just happened.

The Indian skipper stood there with his head hung low and was in utter disbelief as he realized his innings had come to a bizarre end. This prized wicket couldn't have come at a better time for the visitors as India had been gradually starting to seize momentum.
Rohit had looked quite comfortable at the crease, and a partnership with Kohli was just starting to blossom but Patel's unexpected breakthrough turned the tide. Rohit scored 52 off 63 balls, laced with 8 fours and a six.
