New Zealand booked their Champions Trophy 2025 final meeting with India following a 50-run victory over South Africa in the second semi-final of the show-piece event at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Wednesday (March 5).
The Black Caps will face Men in Blue in the title clash on Sunday (March 9) at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai, where the two teams locked horns earlier in the group stage and Team India ran out 44-run victors in that contest.

Rohit Sharma and Co may have benefitted from having played all their matches in Dubai, where the wickets have been sluggish. However, a report from Indian Express suggests many in the Kiwis ranks also will be familiar with the conditions, having played at the Chepauk during their Indian Premier League stints.
The New Zealand team is loaded with players from one franchise in precise, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK). While there are two current players of CSK in the New Zealand Champions Trophy squad, the Black Caps squad also includes three more former Super Kings in their playing group.
Devon Conway and Rachin Ravindra are the two New Zealand players who will be in CSK's IPL 2025 squad, while Matt Henry, Mitchell Santner and Daryl Mitchell also carry experience from playing on sluggish or slow surfaces at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
However, New Zealand will have only a little representation in the upcoming season of IPL after several players remained unsold in the two-day IPL 2025 Mega Auction last year in May. Kane Williamson was one notable unsold player, while seven players found a place in the IPL 2025 teams.
Among the aforementioned list of seven players, only four will feature in the Champions Trophy 2025 final squad for New Zealand. Ravindra, Santner and Phillips are expected to be in the eleven, while Conway may find himself on the bench.
Meanwhile, the likes of Boult, Ferguson and uncapped Jacobs are not part of the New Zealand Champions Trophy squad. While Boult has retired from international cricket, Ferguson pulled out of the squad due to injury, and Jacobs was not considered for selection by New Zealand Cricket.
