India have squared off against New Zealand in the Champions Trophy 2025 Final today in Dubai (March 9).
The two best teams are locking horns for the championship clash and the winning team will have their hands on the prestigious ICC title.

Although India have been excellent in the Champions Trophy, the coin toss hasn't been their friend at all. They have lost all tosses in the tournament and that continued in the final.
India captain Rohit Sharma lost the Toss, which means the Indian team has now lost the toss 15 times in a row in ODI cricket. If that is not staggering, Rohit Sharma, as captain, has lost 12 consecutive tosses in ODI cricket.
With the latest toss not going his way, Rohit equalled the baffling record of most consecutive tosses lost, along with West Indies legend Brian Lara.
Although losing a toss is not uncommon, a shocking run as this doesn't often happen. India's toss woes have continued, which even defies the probability logic and the law of averages.
The odds or probability of losing a Toss can be defined with the Probability theory. Generally, in a toss, either one can 'Win' or 'Lose' - which means a 1/2 chance or probability for each to occur. As the number of matches continue, the probability continue to decrease exponentially.
India Losing One Toss Probability - 1/2
India Losing Twelve Tosses in a Row Probability - (1/2)^12 = 1/4096
The result means the probability of losing the toss occurs only once in 4096 possible outcomes.
When it is converted to percentage, it is quantified as a 0.000244 % probability that Rohit Sharma would lose 12 tosses in a row. Highly Improbable, Ain't it!!
