IND vs NZ: In an extremely rare incident, ICC Cricket World Cup match number 21 had to be momentarily stopped due to fog and mist at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Stadium (HPCA) Stadium in Dharamsala on Sunday, October 22.
The play stopped for the first time in the 15th over. The condition deteriorated in the following over as low hanging clouds engulfed the entire stadium. The players walked out of the field and returned only after the conditions improved in the middle.

Fans at the stadium and those watching on their TV sets were awestruck by the rare occurrence of a cricket match being stopped due to fog. A Meme fest of sorts started on the internet. The famous tag line of an advertisement 'Hindustan mein to fog chal raha hai' was an instant go-to phrase for many. Check out the best reactions here:
In the match, India won the toss and invited New Zealand to bat first. New Zealand lost two early wickets but a 159-run partnership between Rachin Ravindra and centurion Daryl Mitchell gave India a major scare.
It was then that Shami removed Ravindra (75) and went on to pick a five-wicket haul as New Zealand were bundled out for 273 in 50 overs. India are well on course to chase down the target and main their unbeaten run in the World Cup 2023.
