Cut to the chase, India has had several dominant victories in Test cricket, especially against teams like New Zealand. Let’s take a look at India's unforgettable wins against New Zealand through runs, wickets and innings.

1. India's largest win vs New Zealand by Runs: India’s largest win against New Zealand by runs came on October 8, 2016, in Indore. India posted 557/5 declared, with crucial contributions from captain Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane, both of whom scored a hundred each. In reply, New Zealand managed 299, which gave India a healthy lead to build in the second innings.

Ravi Ashwin’s superb spell of 6/81 played a key role in restricting the Kiwis. India declared their second innings at 216/3, setting a huge target of 475 and the Kiwis were bowled out for just 153 in 44.5 overs. The Indians got the better of the Kiwis by a massive margin of 321 runs. Ashwin was once again the wrecker-in-chief as he registered 7/59.

2. India's largest win vs New Zealand by Wickets: Team India have showcased their dominance on home soil against the Kiwis on several occasions but their largest win against them by wickets came in an away territory. The Kiwis were bundled out for 279 in their first innings at Hamilton with the help of Jesse Ryder and Daniel Vettori who scored a century apiece.

India responded with a massive total of 520, giving them a lead of 241 runs, courtesy of Sachin Tendulkar's 160. The Kiwis, despite scoring an identical 279 in their second innings failed to bridge the gap and set up a target of 39. India chased down the target without any fuss as they won the game by 10 wickets.
