During the ongoing Bengaluru Test, New Zealand's hard-hitting lower-order batsman, Tim Southee has added another feather to his cap by going past India's Virender Sehwag in Test sixes tally.
The Nawab of Najafgarh, who is known for his aggressive batting approach has tonked as many as 91 sixes throughout his illustrious Test career. On the other hand, New Zealand's Tim Southee who is known for his impressive six-hitting ability, started this Test, just two sixes shy of Sehwag's mark, with 89 sixes to his name.

The left and right hand combination erased any momentum India had gained. At the time of writing this article, New Zealand posted 371/8, with a staggering lead of 325 runs. Rachin Ravindra is batting on 109 (11 fours, 2 sixes).

Southee’s six-hitting prowess has now placed him sixth on the all-time list for smashing the most sixes in Test cricket. Meanwhile, England's Ben Stokes tops the list as smashed a staggering 131 sixes. Following him are New Zealand’s own Brendon McCullum (107) and Australia's Adam Gilchrist (100).
West Indies legend Chris Gayle, who is famous for his hard-hitting style, occupies the fourth spot with 98 sixes, while South African all-rounder Jacques Kallis smacked 97 sixes.
